Poker Face opens the conversation about faking your happiness and masking what you may be going through internally. Many of us were taught to never let others see what you're going through and to hurt in silence...alone. While I completely understand why we were taught this growing up, I sometimes wonder if it hurts more than helps, especially when it leads to loneliness.

I painted Sunday Morning with the intentions of capturing what slow sunday mornings used to feel like when I was younger but also to capture what I hope to give my daughter one day. A huge backyard that we can go outside to do our hair while listening to the sounds of nature. I feel that this painting shows an experience that many girls can relate to or either wish they could.
